Evergreen Roadworks is celebrating women in construction this week. We are proud of our female teammates who are leaders in our industry, our organization and our communities.
Ann Winning is one of these women! With 10 years in the oil and chip business, she is the Leader over the Metro East Division of Evergreen Roadworks. Watch the video below to hear about Ann’s experience at Evergreen Roadworks.
Today, Winning is a bold female leader in a stereotypically male-heavy environment. In addition to the support she has felt at Evergreen, she credits Woman in Construction with encouraging her along the way. Winning first learned of Women in Construction at the 2023 ConExpo convention. “It was really neat to see how much female backing there is in the construction field,” Winning said, “it was surprising to see that many women at the convention, and it felt good to know that a sister camaraderie was available.”
It was also in 2023 that Winning learned about Women of Asphalt. “I joined Women of Asphalt after Meredith shared about the organization. It sounded like something fun to be a part of, as another way to support each other.”
