As a fourth-generation family-owned business, nothing is more important than getting everyone home safely at the end of the day. Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Evergreen Roadworks. It has been one of our focal points for generations.
Leadership has made safety a collective goal and a priority across the entire organization. As an integral part of our culture, we empower all employees to step away from any situation that makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe and to alert management to the situation. We invest in safety classes for employees and have made it one of the largest areas we cover with new employees during training.
As a tangible reminder of our commitment to safety and to represent its importance, we created an Evergreen golden coin to represent our name change from Champaign Asphalt to Evergreen Roadworks. These are given out to employees, customers and partners to remind them that while our name may have changed, our commitment to safety has not.
